About 85 metres of elevation change has been built into the old Mitsubishi Australia proving ground and the shorter track has been built to FIA Grade 2 requirements, meaning everything short of F1 can race at the venue.

Turn Four is an easily flat and more about getting the car positioned for the approach to Turn Five. Be careful in left-hand-drive cars to not drop the right-hand wheels off the track on the approach to Five. Turn Five is a corner that tyre quality/compound dictates how much speed you can carry.

This represents a big update to how wet weather conditions and racing behaves across the simulation. As part of this new build, we have reviewed our wet conditions in rFactor 2, adding a raft of improvements that should make for more immersive and realistic racing in wet conditions, from how the rain falls and dries on the circuit, to how the AI choose their tyres and manage the wet conditions. Drivers will now have to pick the best and most grippy line in all conditions out on the track, and the AI should behave in a realistic and believable way in terms of tyre choice and strategy. It is also worth noting here, that users can now select the level of wetness on the track before the session, allowing players to dictate the track surface conditions to their own preferences.

One of the big things our community has been asking for of late is more tracks, all in laser scan precision of course, and with this new May release we are delighted to release not one, not two but THREE brand-new and very exciting circuits to the title. From the world-famous twists and turns of Laguna Seca, to fan favorite British tracks that complement our new BTCC cars very nicely indeed, we think this month we really have brought a very fresh and exciting set of content to the title.

Our three new tracks and the BTCC cars are available today within the rFactor 2 Steam Store. As usual, you can buy the new content both as individual items, or if you want to save a little money, check out the pack details below:

The second of our two British circuits coming to rFactor 2 in this release, Brands Hatch is another very recent laser scan from the track team here at Studio 397, having been undertaken late in 2021 around the time of Donington Park, marking these two circuits out as the most recent and detailed replications of their real-world counterparts in sim racing currently. Available now in both Indy and Grand Prix configurations, this is certain to offer both a challenge and pleasure in equal measure.

ISPyB (Delagenière et al., 2011) is a laboratory information management system (LIMS) initially developed as a collaboration between the UK through e-HTPX (Allan et al., 2005) and the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), and further developed in collaboration with Diamond Light Source (DLS). It was designed to deal with the large amount of information that needs to be recorded at such high-throughput synchrotron facilities. For users collecting data from many samples each hour, keeping track of data collection parameters, sample details and processing results can be a laborious task. ISPyB has revolutionized this by recording all the information automatically into an enterprise standard database system as the user collects each data set.

As smart phones and tablets have increased in popularity, an ever increasing group of people are using their mobile devices to browse the internet. As such, an emerging challenge for developers is supporting these devices using a single design. This has led to so-called `responsive design', developing web sites that respond to the available screen space. SynchWeb uses such a design paradigm for the majority of its pages. A variety of the pages have a significantly different layout on mobile devices in order to make appropriate use of the available screen space. Large tables are reflowed into vertical layouts, month view calendars are collapsed into a single list and some data collection information is reformatted. With its broad functionality, described below, SynchWeb complements SynchLink (Ginn et al., 2014), the iOS app developed by DLS, which is primarily orientated towards tracking data collections and viewing analysis results and presents this information very efficiently for the device it is targeted towards.

SynchWeb implements a project workflow that allows users to group together proteins, samples and data collections into a single location (see supplementary material, Fig. 3). This is especially useful for block allocation groups (BAGs), which often involve not only multiple research groups but also multiple universities. When users often collect hundreds of data sets per visit it can become difficult to find information from data sets that actually contain good data or keep track of a particular project. Projects can be shared with other users. Data collections, proteins and samples can all be added to a project where the book icon is displayed. Furthermore, if a protein is added to a project, all subsequent samples and associated data collections are automatically displayed in the project view. 2ff7e9595c
